I want to get started in yoga!
I can’t do Yoga, I am not flexible! So you have always wanted to try yoga but your not flexible, or you don't look like a super model on the front of a magazine. This is the perfect way to start. Everyone in class will be brand new to yoga. This all inclusive atmosphere welcomes a sense of humor and laughter as we navigate the world of yoga. So let the questions fly. Classes are lead by Angela Capps our resident certified yoga therapist. We learn some yoga history, yoga class etiquette, and lots of yoga poses. In this workshop, we will build strength from the ground up, learn that it is ok to modify a pose that doesn't feel good to you, and most of all you will learn how to move safely in the body you have now. This 4 class series is offered virtual so you can start this journey in the comfort and privacy of your home. You will need an internet connection and an electronic device to view your instructor. When you register for this virtual class you will be emailed a link to access class about 15 minutes before class begins. Loves & Littles Pre / Postnatal Yoga - dates Listed - 4 Class series
This Prenatal/Postnatal combo class is open to those in their 2nd and 3rd trimester and 8 weeks Postpartum.
*Infants at least 8 weeks old to non-crawlers are welcome Prenatal yoga is a great way to help nurture yourself, reduce stress, and access the wealth of information with other pregnant people and new caregivers. Postnatal yoga is a great way to nurture the body and baby after childbirth, reduce stress, fill your cup, and bond with baby and other people, creating a community. Make sure you check with your physician to make sure that participating in prenatal yoga is right for you and your pregnancy. Some benefits of attending a regular prenatal/postnatal yoga class are: Improved sleep, Reduction of stress and anxiety, Increased strength, flexibility and endurance of muscles needed for and after childbirth, Decrease lower back discomfort, nausea, headaches and shortness of breath. |
Loves & Littles: toddler Edition - Dates Listed - 4 CLASS SERIES
Loves & Littles: Toddler Edition is all about bonding, finding the breath and movement together, and learning to find acceptance within the chaos of toddlerhood!
This is a 45 minute class, geared towards toddlers (18m to 3yrs) and their caregivers. Working together in a new environment to find common ground, yoga postures, play, and breathing techniques that can be used at home. Did you know each Full Moon has its own unique qualities? Each month, we'll have a special Lunar Yoga class to incorporate the specific qualities of that particular month's moon into our flow!

Holi festival of Color - 2024 TBA - 6:00pm
In India, they celebrate Holi, a festival of love that marks the beginning of Spring. It is a celebration of life, love and playfulness. This is a day to forgive the past and embrace the future. The festival is most notable for the throwing of colored powders in jubilation!
The Bend is excited to join in this celebration of life with our own Festival of Color. The Bend will lead us in a 60 minute all levels class aimed at opening our hearts and embracing love and possibilities in our lives. Other Bend instructors will be throwing color throughout the flow! This yoga class will be held outside on the grass at Wildhorse Park in Mustang by the large pavilion and tank! The entrance is off of 59th street, West of Mustang Rd. We will be celebrating with COLOR! Please bring a washable beach towel to put on top of your mat and wear clothing that you don’t mind getting colorful! White Shirt is suggested! All levels and All ages encouraged to attend. Minors need to have a parent yoga with them as we will be outdoors. Cost: $45 per person Children uder the age of 10 can participate with parent. Mala Making for Beginners - 2024 TBA- 4:00pm
What is a Mala?
Mala is a loop of beads or necklace with special knots between each bead. Simply wear your mala as reminder of your personal intintion or mindfulness practice. Tish will guide you through making your personal mala, the significance of the materials and number of beads. Expereince how to use the mala for sparking your intintion, reciting prayer or mantra, meditation, and breathing practices. Tish will also reach you about the material in your mala and the energy those materials hold. Your enrollment includes all material needed. Kid's Yoga Club is an age appropriate class for those kids who are ages 6 - 12. Learning about movement in a fun creative atmosphere is just perfect! Kid's are natural yogi's and find their way around the trapeze super easy. This 30 min class is geared toward engaging the creative nature and harnessing energy to promote exploration. Join Lindsey in this fun 80's themed yoga flow and rock out to your favorite "blast from the past" tunes. **Flashing lights and Black Light will be used. Bring your 80's hair because no yoga expereince is required for this fun event. We at The Bend have the gift of healing hearts. We are passionate about supporting women. This event is the first annual of its kind to support a local women's charity. Feel free to explore th is charity further at the link below.
