intro to the art of teaching yoga
Get ready to dive into the world of yoga with the jam-packed two-day Foundations of Teaching Yoga! It's all about rolling up your sleeves and getting hands-on instruction as you learn to teach flow-based classes for all levels. You'll master over 15 poses and unlock the secrets of muscular and skeletal anatomy while nailing those asana. Plus, you'll pick up the art of sequencing classes like a pro—safety and balance included! But wait, there’s more! You'll also discover how to connect with your audience, communicate like a yogic guru, and whip up your very own vinyasa flow practice. Namaste to that!

Prenatal Yoga is an adaptive form of yoga designed to help expectant mothers maintain their practice throughout their pregnancy. This Prenatal Yoga training is ideal for prenatal nurses, therapists, yoga teachers, and expectant mothers looking to increase their awareness about Prenatal Yoga and the experience of pregnancy.
Our training will cover the anatomy and physiology of pregnancy and how that can affect a practitioner’s practice. During this weekend of learning you can expect;

ADVANCED Adjustments & Hands on Assists
Adjust your yoga students with confidence!
Hands-on Adjustments play a transformative role in yoga practice, enhancing posture experience, enabling access to challenging poses, and enriching the overall yoga journey. Join Angie as she delves into alignment, verbal cues, and various hands-on adjustments for common yoga postures. Gain new insights to empower your students with a deeper understanding of yoga asanas, enhance accessibility, and prioritize safety in their practice.
During this weekend you can expect:

Sequencing Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga is a practice where poses are held statically for longer periods of time. The goal of a Yin practice is to work beyond the muscle, and strengthen the connective tissues. Yin Yoga uses only a handful of poses and our training will ensure that you understand the benefit of these poses and how they relate to the meridians as well as feel confident creating dynamic sequences that benefit your students using the few Yin postures.
Teaching Yin Yoga is an excellent skill to add to your yoga teaching toolkit.

Ever feel like your 200 hour yoga course gave you a ton of information but you are still not entirely confident in building your own classes? You know you have all the info - but where to start, how to make it safe and healthy, and how to make it fun for your students?
This is where Advanced Sequencing comes in to play! You are ready to take the next step in building your classes. You will dive deeper into how to support your students’ practices with sequencing. Learn how you can more critically dissect the movements to bring a deeper awareness and experience to the class. And of course let’s not forget finding a new level of creativity and letting yourself flow into some fun and funky transitions! The world of sequencing is vast and as unique as each teacher - let yourself gain the skills and confidence to shine! This course is registered with Yoga Alliance for 18 CEU’s or can be taken as part of The Bend Academy’s 300 hour program. Cost $350 |
